Agreement Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by West Georgia Design Build ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By engaging our services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.

Service Agreement

Scope of Services

West Georgia Design Build provides professional cabinet services including:

  • Cabinet refacing and door replacement
  • Cabinet refinishing and restoration
  • Custom cabinet door manufacturing and installation
  • Hardware installation and upgrades
  • Cabinet repair and maintenance services
  • Design consultation and project planning

Service Limitations

Our services are limited to cabinet-related work as specified in your service agreement. We do not provide:

  • Plumbing or electrical work
  • Countertop installation or modification
  • Flooring or tile work
  • Structural modifications to your home
  • Appliance installation or repair

Consultation and Estimates

Free Consultation

We provide free in-home consultations to assess your project needs and provide estimates. During the consultation:

  • We evaluate your existing cabinets and discuss your goals
  • We provide professional recommendations based on your needs and budget
  • We take measurements and assess project requirements
  • We provide a detailed written estimate within 48 hours

Estimate Validity

Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Prices may be subject to change after this period due to material cost fluctuations or project modifications.

Contract and Payment Terms

Service Contract

All services require a signed service contract that includes:

  • Detailed scope of work and specifications
  • Materials to be used and finishes selected
  • Project timeline and completion date
  • Total project cost and payment schedule
  • Terms and conditions specific to your project

Payment Schedule

Payment terms vary by project size and are specified in your service contract:

  • Projects under $2,000: 50% deposit, balance due upon completion
  • Projects $2,000-$5,000: 40% deposit, 40% at midpoint, 20% upon completion
  • Projects over $5,000: 30% deposit, 40% at midpoint, 30% upon completion

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. A 3% processing fee applies to credit card payments over $1,000.

Project Execution

Scheduling and Timeline

Project scheduling is coordinated based on material availability and our work calendar:

  • Start dates are confirmed after contract signing and deposit payment
  • We provide 48-hour advance notice of project start
  • Typical project timelines: Refacing 3-5 days, Refinishing 2-4 days
  • Weather, material delays, or unforeseen issues may affect timelines

Site Access and Preparation

Customer responsibilities for project preparation:

  • Provide clear access to work areas
  • Remove personal items from cabinets and countertops
  • Ensure utilities (electricity, water) are available
  • Arrange for pet containment during work hours
  • Notify us of any hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint)

Change Orders

Changes to the original scope of work require written approval and may result in additional costs and time delays. All change orders must be signed before additional work begins.

Quality and Workmanship

Quality Standards

We maintain high quality standards for all work performed:

  • All work performed by trained, experienced craftsmen
  • Use of quality materials and hardware from reputable manufacturers
  • Daily quality inspections during project execution
  • Final walkthrough and customer approval before project completion

Warranty Coverage

We provide comprehensive warranty coverage:

  • Workmanship: 1 year warranty on all installation and finishing work
  • Materials: Manufacturer warranties apply and are transferred to customer
  • Hardware: Manufacturer warranties (typically 1-10 years depending on brand)
  • Exclusions: Normal wear, misuse, or damage not related to our work

Customer Responsibilities

During the Project

  • Maintain safe access to work areas
  • Protect personal belongings and valuables
  • Communicate any concerns promptly
  • Make timely payments according to the agreed schedule
  • Provide feedback during quality inspections

After Project Completion

  • Follow provided care and maintenance instructions
  • Report warranty issues promptly
  • Allow reasonable access for warranty service
  • Maintain cabinets according to manufacturer recommendations

Liability and Insurance

Insurance Coverage

West Georgia Design Build maintains comprehensive insurance coverage:

  • General liability insurance
  • Workers' compensation insurance
  • Professional liability coverage
  • Bonding for customer protection

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of defective work. We are not liable for consequential damages, lost profits, or indirect damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the total contract amount.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Customer Cancellation

Customers may cancel services under the following conditions:

  • Before work begins: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • After work begins: Refund of unused portion minus costs incurred
  • Custom materials: Non-refundable once ordered to specifications
  • Completed work: Payment due for all completed work

Company Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel services for non-payment, unsafe working conditions, or breach of contract terms. In such cases, payment is due for all work completed to date.

Dispute Resolution

Problem Resolution Process

We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly:

  1. Contact us immediately with any concerns
  2. We will investigate and respond within 48 hours
  3. If needed, we will schedule a site visit to assess the issue
  4. We will provide a resolution plan and timeline
  5. Follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction

Legal Disputes

Any legal disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Georgia under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Georgia state law governs these Terms.

General Provisions

Modifications

These Terms may be modified only by written agreement signed by both parties. We may update these Terms for new customers with 30 days notice.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with your signed service contract, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements.
